Statewide Asphalt

About Us

Travis Power – Estimator and President of Operations

An Arizona native, Travis started working in the paving business over 15 years ago as an estimator for Ace Asphalt, and it has been in his blood ever since. He literally eats, sleeps and drinks the asphalt industry. After leaving Ace and prior to coming to Statewide, he worked as a paving equipment representative for Caterpillar. He is factory trained on highway-class rubber track pavers as well as smaller commercial parking lot machines and all compaction equipment associated with it. Travis has paved race tracks for the former Firebird raceway, worked on airport taxiways and runways to FAA specs, and supervised a complete rehabilitation of the high speed test oval for Nissan. Additionally he has paved and seal-coated just about every type and size of parking lot in the state of Arizona. When not looking down at parking lots, he is most likely looking up at the sky seeing what type of aircraft is flying overhead, his secondary love.

Christi Power – Owner

Christi married into the paving business years ago when she met Travis and has been a part of it ever since. Her background in bookkeeping and finances started in high school while working for her parents' beauty supply business. After that Christi worked for an actuary, further giving her a good understanding of banking, finances, and bookkeeping. Statewide is a woman-owned business and as such Christi handles the books and finances, payroll, keeps the office organized and keeps all the guys and crews motivated and under control. When not multi-tasking with work and shuttling 5 children around she likes to read and travel.

Michael Schuck – Production Superintendent

Originally from Indiana, Mike wandered out to Arizona over 10 years ago and has stayed ever since. Having work construction right out of high school, he has done underground pipe work and asphalt since his teens. Mike is a very seasoned and experienced asphalt worker, having spent thousands of hours as a finish roller operator and then moving up to a paver operator. Mike supervises the paving, asphalt patching, seal coating and striping crews for Statewide Asphalt. Mike just became a father and spends a lot of time with his 1 year old girl and his fiance. When not being kept busy by them, Mike would most likely be found on a motorcycle.
